More office inspiration
Quiet and focus
According to different research, those flexible offices might not be the most efficient way to work. Research suggests that quiet and individual spaces are important as well!
Does your office space offer that?
Does colour matter?
You must have heard it before: the colour of the workspace would be important for your performance. However, there is no conclusive research about this. Some research suggest that a RED room will impair performance (a little) and other research suggests there is no difference. Could it be a personal choice maybe? Purple and Orange seems to be the least preferred colours, so it might be a good idea to skip those.
Most people would confirm from their own experience that an office with windows enhances work performance. However, according to research too much sunlight decreases work performance. So open up those curtains, but not too much.
You might be worried about your physical well-being while working. Sitting all day has been proven to be destructive for your body. An idea could be to use a treadmill desk.
Let your employees design the interior
It could be a good idea to let your employees decide on the interior of the worplace. According to an article by Forbes, employees will be 32% more productive when you let them design their own workspace. Next to that, it saves time and money to hire an office designer.
More companies, like Google and Pixar, let their employees design their own cubicles. Which results in cool workplaces. What about giving employee a budget to get their own furniture? So let’s brainstorm about it with Zash!
